Overview
Raize doesn't have much offensive capability beyond consistent chip damage, but it makes up for this with its access to the Demoralize trait. This trait lowers both enemy Tems' speed one stage when Raize switches in, letting Raize's teammates win trades that they might otherwise not. Raize also has decent bulk, which lets it pivot effectively to trigger Demoralize, as well as a few decent support options in Roar and King's Roar.

Description
(1.3 DUKE'S NOTES - HUH?! THIS GUIDE STILL UP HUH. I MEAN YOU COULD PLAY THIS THING. KING'S ROAR IS ANNOYING AS HELL)
Raize has maintained relevance in the competitive scene despite it being a not-fully-evolved tem due its very powerful Demoralize trait, cutting the speed of opposing teams so that Raize can apply burn or growl at them before they can move. With Deceit Aura being heavily nerfed over the course of 0.9.X, Demoralize further stands out as a useful trait.
Raize is not very good at dealing damage - the burn tick from Embers and the odd Fire Tornado is really all it has going for it. Roar and King's Roar cut deep into the opponent's attacking stats, the hold coming up as Raize pivots in and out. Since you're incentivized to Swap Raize often, Mom's Lunch is a great gear to trigger constantly on it.
Good partners for Raize are tems which are immune to the effects of Mom's Lunch, or have strong attacks but are often outsped by priority techniques.
